In February 2025 we announced our integration with Mews, which synchronizes rates, inventory, availability, and bookings between their PMS and our booking engine in real time. Now we are taking it a step further: hotels working with Mews can now collect payments for bookings made on their website via Mews Payments, the native payment gateway from Mews.
In many hotels, guests are still asked to provide their card multiple times throughout their stay: when booking, at check-in, and at check-out. With this integration, payment data is collected only once, when booking through our booking engine.
Here are the main benefits and features of the integration:
- A single payment system: direct bookings are processed through the same gateway as the rest of the hotel’s operations, eliminating the need for cross-platform reconciliation.
- The integration uses an iFrame: no redirection to an external gateway page; instead, payment takes place entirely within the Mirai booking engine, improving user experience.
- A smoother guest journey: they pay just once, at the time of booking, using their preferred payment method, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Wero/iDEAL.
- Generating a token that is sent directly to Mews, enabling additional charges to be triggered from your PMS.
- Generating a token at the time of booking to trigger automated deferred payments.
- Triggering No-Show charges on a tokenised card directly from the Mirai extranet.
- Processing refunds on prepayments or deferred payments also directly from the Mirai extranet.
- More direct bookings to capture: our booking engine is connected to Google Hotel Ads and other metasearch engines, ensuring that hotel demand reaches an engine designed to convert it and take payment directly via Mews Payments.
A key integration where Mews is growing
Mews has an especially strong presence in France and Mews Payments allows settling payments in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, France, Australia, Japan, and Colombia.
For hotels in these markets that already work with Mews, the integration allows them to combine their PMS and payment gateway with Mirai’s booking engine.
What to do if you are interested
As with all our integrations, Mirai will not charge any setup or monthly fees for the integration with Mews Payments.
